It also causes rhabdomyolysis, which is the destruction of muscles. It can also cause hepatocellular injury, myocardial complications, and hemorrhage complications.

Possible complications include vital organ damage and death. The complications are encephalopathy, rhabdomyolysis, acute renal failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, myocardial injury, hepatocellular injury, intestinal ischemia or infarction, pancreatic injury. Hemorrhagic complications include pronounced thrombocytopenia and DIC.
